Headboard: Frequency 2007


Rather hilarious Talmudic advice from the sages about women's sexuality are scribed on satiny cushions: The cushions are inserted within the brass rods of twelve Headboards. (Twelve, for the five days of menstruation and the seven clean days that must follow.) Each Headboard has four sayings on subjects such as Frequency, Propagation, and Virginity.

Examples of the sayings:

1) WHEN ONE OBSERVES HIS WIFE MAKING AN ENDEAVOR TO PLEASE HIM AND MAKING HERSELF ATTRACTIVE HE IS BOUND TO VISIT HER; HOWEVER IF SHE MADE A VERBAL PROPOSAL SHE EXHIBITED A BRAZEN SHAMELESSNESS AND SHE IS CONSIDERED LIKE AN ADULTEROUS WOMAN WHOM HE MUST NOT KEEP.

2) DURING TVILAH (RITUAL BATH IMMERSION) A WOMAN SHOULD STAND IN THE FOLLOWING MANNER: SHE SHOULD POSITION HER LEGS SPREAD APART SOMEWHAT SUCH AS A WOMAN ROLLING OUT A DOUGH, HER HANDS SHOULD BE LIFTED SLIGHTLY SUCH AS A WOMAN STANDING AND WEAVING A LOOM.
