Seed sacs
Two sacs en route on the waters of Japan to the shores of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1985, were screened at Times Sq. Jumbotron hourly on August 6th and 9th, 1995, as a 50th anniversary commemoration of these tragedies. The "sacs" carried seeds, pods, grains, etc. - ingredients of survival.

IDEA FOR PUBLIC ART: SCREEN THE 2-MINUTE MEDITATION AGAIN ON THE JUMBOTRON FOR THE 65th ANNIVERSARY COMMEMORATION OF HIROSHIMA AND NAGASAKI IN 2010, TO REMIND THE WORLD OF THE CONSEQUENCES OF NUCLEAR ARMS. FOR THAT MATTER, WHY NOT A TRADITION OF REMEMBERING IN 2015, 2025 FOR THE 70th AND THE 100th YEAR COMMEMORATION?

NEEDED: A MAJESTIC VENUE: TO SHOW THE INSTALLATION, two sacs en route '85-'95'-05, (THIS IS THE SEQUEL TO THE EARTH AMBULANCE -'82 -'92 -'02, THE PERMANENT INSTALLATION AT THE HUDSON VALLEY CENTER FOR CONTEMPORARY ART IN PEEKSKILL.) THE INSTALLATION, two sacs en route WOULD CONSIST OF THE FOUR-CHANNEL VIDEO OF THE TWO SMALL "sacs" ON THEIR RIVER VOYAGE, AND THIRTY ILLUMINATED 6' X 2' PANELS OF "TRANSPARENCIES" OF THE VARIOUS INGREDIENTS THAT WERE IN THE "sacs" - AN X-RAY OF THE INTERIOR OF THE 2 "sacs," AS IT WERE.
